A family of five (2 biggies, 2 littlies and a dog), normally go to a site with clubhouse and facilities. This made a lovely change, peace and quiet instead of entertainment 'til the small hours. The lodge was in superb condition and the owner very friendly and helpful. The kids spent hours playing with the other dogs holidaying on site but especially the farm dog Wilf, who when not working the cattle loves to hang out with the holiday makers. Fishing was good too, there is plenty of roach to keep the float busy while I also caught 3 carp up to 12lb, everyone was happy. Mr T, WICKFORD 01 March 2011
Little peace of heaven with a nice fishing lake down the lane. Mr H, St. Albans, Hertfordshire 02 November 2010
The site was just as we expected and wanted, quiet and secluded. My partner especially enjoyed the fishing, the pictures of the lake on the website do not do it justice. Would definitely recommend if looking to get away from hustle and bustle and just relax. Miss B, NORTHAMPTON 13 October 2010
Avallon Lodges are away from all the fast moving every day life which is great, gives you time to unwind and enjoy the slower moving country life. Nearest shop about 4 miles away so bring plenty of food, other than that it's a great way to have a restful holiday, only 6 lodes on park, set in small orchard on small working farm. Mr B, Crediton, Devon 02 October 2010
Lovely and quiet, fishing was great, very friendly and helpful people, loved Wilf the dog, great escape from the every day rat race, so peaceful. Mrs M, CAMBERLEY, Surrey 29 August 2010
Have visited before and the owners are most friendly and welcoming. Peace and quiet in a tranquil location suitable for anyone needing to escape for a while. The fishing was excellent as always in a peaceful and relaxing environment. Highly recommended with top Cornish hospitality. Mrs P, Hailsham, East Sussex 15 August 2010

Cheap, brilliant location, comfortable accommodation. Ms B, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire 21 April 2010
Avallon lodges are amazing set in beautiful surroundings, our dog had a lovely time with the resident farm dog, Wilf and there are loads of lovely walks around the farm. The lake was fab for fishing and the ping pong table & pool table were great too (these are in a cow shed so don't expect luxury but it was just what we were looking for as there are no arcades or entertainment) This is a lovely rustic place and we would definitely recommend it to those who are seeking peace and quiet, relaxation and a lovely country location with cows to watch being milked, fishing and walking. Superb. Mr W, WITNEY, Oxfordshire 21 April 2010

The lodges are great value for money, very spacious, secluded and in a peaceful setting but knowing help is at hand if required. Great if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle and everything you needed was available - a home from home. Mrs G, LEATHERHEAD, Surrey 04 July 2009
